Ornamental Pocket Projector Cage Enclosure using Generative Modelling

Ornamental pocket projector enclosure is made using a generative design modelling process wherein incoming forces are calculated according to the design scenario and then the form of the design is calculated using algorithms while keeping stresses within specified limits. This enclosure was designed considering impact forces if the projector falls from a height of 1000mm. The enclosure was printed using a 3d Systems Figure 4 DLP resin printer, while ABS resin (Figure 4 PRO-BLK 10 resin) was used. Special 3d printed curved shaped RUBBER-BLK 10 pads were incorporated in the final design to ensure the projector is optimally isolated from external forces and scratches from the enclosure itself. Finally, a 3d printed base was designed and fabricated which conveniently snaps with the aid of 4 button magnets present at the bottom of the enclosure.
